How to import your games from Lichess and Chess.com

Three ways to get your games into ChessAnalyzer: by username, by PGN file, or by copy and paste — on the web and on Android.

To review a game you first need it in ChessAnalyzer. There are three ways, and all of them keep your games on your own device.

Option 1: by username (web)

On the web analyzer, tap From username on the home screen, choose Lichess or Chess.com, and type your username. Your latest twenty public games are fetched directly from that site to your browser. Nothing passes through a ChessAnalyzer server.

Option 2: a PGN file

PGN (Portable Game Notation) is the standard file format for chess games, and every chess site can export it.

Then choose Import PGN in ChessAnalyzer. On the web you can also drag the file onto the page. A single file can hold many games; all of them are imported, and duplicates are skipped.

Option 3: copy and paste

Copy the PGN text and use Paste PGN. This works with one game or several. Comments, clock times and variations from the site are cleaned up automatically, so a game copied straight from Lichess or Chess.com imports as it is.

After importing

Open the game and choose an analysis mode. Quick takes seconds; Smart Deep Review scans the whole game and then looks much deeper at the critical moments. Read how to analyze your chess games for a review routine that works.
